Ahh Monday’s
No one really loves Monday’s do they?
Well this is the first Monday I don’t have a job in nearly 15 years! OHMYGOD! I don’t have a job. That’s just all kinds of crazy. I left my job voluntarily so I knew it was coming but it’s still strange. The point is this is a Monday I didn’t dread. It’s the beginning of a whole new life for me and I am excited about it. I am also planning on reading up a storm.
So the thing is I told myself at the beginning of the year that I MUST read Jane Eyre. It was like a thing I thought I needed in my life. So about 4 months ago I started it. Then about 4 months ago I put it down, then I picked it back up, then I put it back down. You get that point right? I don’t know what the deal is because I like it, I just can’t read it in any sustained way. So I am still plugging away and will probably read some more this week. Probably. Maybe.
What I am really excited about is book I just got in the mail. 32 Candles by Ernessa T. Carter. This is her first book and I think her only one. It was chosen as the book of August for the Clutch Reading Challenge group I am a part of on goodreads. Click here to read about the challenge. I am on chapter 11 and loving it. I identify so much with the protagonist Davie and what’s happening to her in school. Unless something major pops up I will probably be finishing this today.
